Have you read your Nutrition Facts Label lately?

Does it often seem like packaged foods are just one big advertisement? Being able to figure out what is fact and what may be stretching the truth, is always important, but is increasingly so as we age - because every bite counts toward better health.

To assist us in making good choices at the grocery store, all packaged foods and beverages have a uniform Nutrition Facts Label. You've probably seen it on
many of the items in your grocery cart - but have you used it?

Serving Size is the key to the rest of the information on the label...keep in mind that the rest of the information is based on ONE serving. Often what appears to be a single serving of chips or a bottle of soda, may actually contain two (or sometimes three!) servings...which can easily result in the quick consumption of a lot of calories or sugars.
