Calories. A word we hear often, but do you know how many calories your body requires each day? To clarify, how many calories your body needs each day to maintain a healthy weight?
Not sure? You are not alone. In a recent study, only 15 percent of survey participants accurately estimated.
A 50-year-old, 130 pound sedentary woman needs 1,330 calories to maintain her weight. A 63 year-old, 148 pound, slightly active woman should consume 1,850 calories each day. Keep in mind that, even if you are on a diet, you should consume at least 1,200 calories each day.
